How to Bypass Pattern Lock on Android
***The This is for Android 2.2–2.2.3 Froyo Platform only! Newer Android versions fixed this work around by turning off USB Debugging by default.***
So I was online reading that the FBI can’t bypass the android lock pattern! Really!? How can this be!? I think they need me on the computer forensics team 😀
Right now ill show you how to bypass the lock screen on any android platform (phone/tablet) keeping the all the user data intact. Doing a hard reset (Pressing POWER + VOLUME + HOME button simultaneously) will delete all images, music files, videos, contacts saved in mobile device and will be restored to factory setting. A hard reset will not work for the FBI.
We will be using the Android Debug Bridge (adb)
This method requires USB Debugging feature enabled which is under ‘Developer options’ of your device. By default this feature is enabled automatically.
Connect your device to computer with the help of USB cable and issue following command through ADB
Reboot your android device and now supply following commands
update system set value=0 where name=’lock_pattern_autolock’;
update system set value=0 where name=’lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently’;
Restart your device.
And your done! It will accept any pattern lock now.
all data will still be on the device!
FBI, if you need a consultant let me know 😉
